Based on the Audi Terminal concept, the contemporary Audi Centre has 60,000 square feet of space to ensure a comfortable and inviting setting as well as room for expansion. The showroom can accommodate up to 12 display vehicles, while the service centre is a double-storey facility that has 17 bays capable of servicing 34 cars a day. When the VW Golf Mk 8 range was launched in February 2022, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) hadn’t announced the official retail price of the R-Line variant. It now has the official price and it is RM169,990.

The BMW Motorrad Dealer Award highlighted outstanding achievements in helping customers “Make Life a Ride”. Ferrari had recently commissioned a 1 megawatt solid oxide fuel cell plant at its facility in Maranello. This new power plant will provide 5% of the total energy required for Ferrari’s production activities*. It will also reduce the company’s emissions and fuel consumption for energy, as it takes another step towards becoming carbon neutral by 2030. Compared to CHP (Combined Heat and Power) cogeneration systems, gas requirements will be reduced by around 20% with a significant saving in energy.Ferrari_Maranello_Fuel Cell Plant

The plant is built by Bloom Energy, a US-based company which has its solid oxide fuel cell applications utilised in various sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare and data centres. Solid oxide fuel cells typically generate electricity from hydrogen and thus has a significantly lower impact in terms of carbon and emissions.

But this innovative technology platform also offers flexibility in the choice of energy sources required to power the plant e.g. hydrogen, natural gas, biomethane or a combination, to convert the fuel into electricity without combustion.

A further benefit of this highly efficient system, compared to the equivalent systems used previously, is the reduction of more than 99% of the pollution that causes the build-up of smog and particulate matter.

The Nissan outlet in Rawang has been upgraded to a 3S level by Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM). The 3S centre is a branch of ETCM and was originally solely a sales outlet. This new Hino 3S centre is sited on 20,000 sq ft and cost SSTP about RM1 million to set up. The centre is equipped with the latest facilities and tools that comply to HINO standards. It features 6 service bays, including 2 express maintenance bays that guarantee a 45-minute servicing time exclusively for customers who have pre-booked an appointment.

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) recently hosted a weekend getaway for Hyundai EV (electric vehicle) owners. This is a first-of-its-kind getaway organised by HSDM to show appreciation to new Hyundai EV owners.

The convoy was flagged off from Hyundai’s showroom in Sime Darby Motors City, Ara Damansara, after breakfast and a safety briefing. The convoy of 25 EVs, made up of IONIQ 5 and Kona Electric, drove to Avani Sepang Goldcoast Resort via the scenic routes of Bagan Lalang.

The CBU Kia Carnival 11-seater MPV imported from South Korea was quickly snapped up by buyers when it was introduced in early 2022. And now about half a year on, Kia Malaysia Sdn Bhd has prepared a locally assembled Carnival for the market. The CKD Kia Carnival is the first Kia model produced under this new partnership and is assembled at the Inokom plant in Kulim, Kedah. It remains powered by a 2.2L turbo diesel engine that is paired with an 8-speed automatic and producing 199 hp @ 3,800 rpm and 440 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm – 2,750 rpm. But unlike the fully imported version, the locally assembled one will be available with fewer seats i.e. 7-seater and 8-seater configurations. This means more cabin space for each passenger and will have more premium appointments. 

The CKD Carnival will include front & rear heated and ventilated seats, Premium Relaxion seats in the 2nd row that can be fully reclined, a 12-speaker Bose® sound system, 12.3″ infotainment display, ambient lighting, one-touch smart powered sliding doors and smart powered tailgate.

Kia CarnivalSafety kit will include a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
