GST – Subaru, Volvo, Mazda announce prices

Our latest round-up of post-GST car prices continues with updates from Subaru, Volvo, and Mazda

Subaru

Motor Image has raised prices of the XV Sport and Forester 2.0i-L by small margins of RM370 and RM40 respectively, but all other Subaru models have seen their prices reduced, most notably the BRZ, which is now RM12,300 more affordable than before. The popular XV, which is locally-assembled, gets a RM2,000 GST rebate to reach its current pricing.

Volvo

Volvo pricing is largely unchanged, with only the V40 (both variants) and XC60 T5 getting their prices reduced. The S80 is no longer listed in the line-up.

Mazda

Bermaz Motor’s official prices for its line-up of Mazda models similarly sees prices either reduced or maintained depending on model. The company’s price list continues to mention the previous-generation Mazda2 sedan and hatchback as well as the Mazda3 1.6 sedan and hatchback.

Models that see decrease in their pricing include the Mazda6 2.5 Sedan, CX-9 2WD and 4WD, CX-5 2.0 2WD GL, previous-gen Mazda3 1.6, Mazda8, and all variants of the BT-50. Pricing of the new Mazda3 SkyActiv CKD will be announced on 8 April; stocks of the CBU model are still available at unchanged prices.
