Catch The GWM Tank 300 Preview And Roadshow
Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia is taking the GWM Tank 300 on a nationwide roadshow in the run-up to its official launch.
The GWM Tank 300 ranks No. 1 in China’s off-road SUV market, boasting a single model market share exceeding 50%. It has also maintained its position as the best selling off-road SUV for 39 consecutive months. 
The GWM Tank 300 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine producing 217 hp and 380 Nm of torque that is sent to a 4WD system through an 8-speed automatic transmission. There is also a hybrid variant with a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine paired with a 78 kW electric motor to offer a combined output of 258 kW (346 hp) and 615 Nm of torque. However, there is no indication yet if the hybrid variant will also be offered in Malaysia.
Measuring 4,760 mm long, 1,930mm wide and 1,903mm tall, the GWM Tank 300 is built as a rugged off-roader with a physicality that shows it. It has a ground clearance of 224 mm and a 33 degree approach angle and 34 degree departure angle. The Tank 300’s wheelbase is 2,750 mm long.
The roadshow dates and locations are:
- 24 – 28 April: Queensbay Mall, Penang
- 25 – 28 April: Sunway Pyramid, Selangor
- 26 – 28 April: Vivacity Megamall, Sarawak
- 8 – 12 May: Ipoh Parade, Perak
At the same time, the GWM Tank 300 will also be featured at several GWM showrooms:
- 27 – 28 April: GWM Seremban
- 4 – 5 May: GWM Ipoh; GWM Sg Besi; GWM Kota Damansara
- 11 – 12 May: GWM Setia Alam
At these events, you can get an up-close look at the GWM Tank 300, alongside a lineup of GWM vehicles currently available in Malaysia such as the Ora Good Cat and the Ora 07 electric coupe. Besides these, and the Tank, you will also be able to see the the upcoming C-segment hybrid SUV i.e. the GWM Haval H6 HEV.
