Strong Sales For UMW Toyota In July As Network Expansion Continues

UMW Toyota Motor started the 2nd half of 2023 on a strong note, with its total sales for the month of July reaching 8,349 vehicles (Toyota + Lexus combined). Breaking it down, UMWT sold 8,200 units of Toyota and 149 units of Lexus, which brings its total year-to-date sales ending July 31 2023 to 57,008 vehicles. This is an 8.5% increase over the same period in 2022 (52,548 vehicles). The monthly sales for July 2023 was also an increase of 25.8% compared to July 2022. Toyota Vios_Slalom

In July, Toyota also offered monthly promotions of up to a 100% loan for brand new Toyota vehicles. For ease of purchase, customers can opt for a low instalment plan option from as low as RM628 a month for a Yaris. At the same time, Toyota is expanding its sales and service network. Over in Sabah, Armada KK Automobile, which has been a Toyota dealer since 2005, upgraded from a 1S to 3S centre. The new centre was officially opened at Mile 6, Jalan Penampang, offering Sales & Service Centre facilities to customers in Penampang and surrounding areas in Kota Kinabalu. The new 3S centre is equipped with 18 service bays to meet the needs of Toyota drivers.

In Peninsular Malaysia, Muar welcomed a new Toyota 4S centre when E.S. Yang Motor, a Toyota dealer since 1994, officially opened its new 4S outlet on Jalan Dato’ Haji Kosai, combining its previously separated 1S, 2S and Body & Paint outlets. This new 4S centre has 14 service bays and 20 Body & Paint bays.

Other activities by UMWT include the TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (GR) GT Cup Malaysia online racing series which launched in July, that was previously known as GR Velocity Esports Championship. Now running in its 6th consecutive year, the series is one of the most lucrative online racing events in the country offering up to RM90,500 in cash prizes this year, the highest ever in GR GT Cup Malaysia history. For the first time this year, Toyota, still the only car manufacturer and brand to be involved in e-racing, also brought the simulator racing experience to universities across Malaysia.Toyota GAZOO Racing_Online Racing
