Recall For Chevrolet And SAAB In Malaysia To Replace Airbag Inflators

Chevrolet has announced a recall campaign involving Chevrolet and SAAB models in Malaysia. According to records, 3,725 units of Chevrolet and SAAB vehicles in Malaysia need to replace the Takata driver airbag inflator as a safety measure.

The models involved in this recall are:

  • Chevrolet Cruze : Model Year 2010–2015

  • Chevrolet Sonic : Model Year 2013–2014

The driver airbag inflator contains non-desiccated PSAN propellant tablets which may experience alteration after exposure to high temperatures and daylight temperature cycles in a high humidity environment.
