Chevrolet and Harley Davidson are not brands you would usually associate with Formula One, but the upcoming Malaysian GP in Sepang will feature a heavy presence of these two marques. The Naza Group of Companies today handed over 145 units of the Chevrolet Captiva and 55 Harley Davidson motorcycles to the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) for use as official vehicles during the race weekend.

A small ceremony was held earlier today at the new Chevrolet 3S Centre at Jalan Ampang with Naza Group of Companies Joint Group Executive Chairman Datuk Wira Haji SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin presenting mock keys for the vehicles to SIC Chairman Dato’ Mokhzani Mahathir.

“Naza Quest and Naza Prestige Bikes are proud to be associated with the 2011 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix, which is one of the most premier racing events in the country,” Datuk Wira Haji SM Faisal said.

“This partnership is an extension of the NAZA Group’s involvement in Formula 1 racing. As a Malaysian conglomerate, it is our duty and responsibility to support and promote Malaysian sporting events as it is a great opportunity for us to promote our country, our culture and our way of life to the international sporting world,” he added.
