Ford's Ecoboost engine is actually already here, powering the CKD Volvo XC 60 2.0T and mated with Ford's PowerShift dual clutch transmission.

Its outputs of 203hp & 300Nm are identical to that produced by the Ford Mondeo 2.0 Ecoboost.

thanks for the info, gunner.

this volvo got tourque vectoring like the coming focus / fiesta ST or not. sound "geng". automatically braking the right front wheel when turning right and vice versa.

Nothing special ? Which car at 80K are you comparing and referring with ?

scenic, my mistake.

the current spec fiesta do have something that no other 80k car has, its six speed transmission.

when i made that statement, i was refering to the engine output. the highest output go to walan.

thanks for pointing out the mistake. cheers.

What's the output of your walan as compares to the Fiesta's 1.6 ? I am also asking about the drivability of the the engines. Oh yeah, also safety features between the two ? Mind sharing with me here ?

no, i do not own a walan or inspira, both name i also dun like.

the 80k spec walan is 1.8 rite, power should be more than fiesta 1.6.

in term of safety, walan is a bigger car, fiesta come with traction control, so abang adik.

let us hope that the fiesta with ecoboost will arrive soon after its official launch in europe this coming march. this version will definitely differentiate it from the rest.

walan 1.8 was launched 10 years ago. U use monetary term to compare power ? 150K should be 200 horses power ?
Do you have the NCAP results for both walan and Fiesta. Big means safer, is that what you mean ? walan has VSC and TC ? What's abang adik here ?

r u refering to the waja with the renault 1.8 engine? i am refering to inspira, aka waja lancer, or walan. the inspira come with 1.8 & 2.0 litre engine, so both should b more powerful than fiesta 1.6, rite?

to my understanding, a bigger car is a safer car. this is what i found on euro ncap website:

"Are large cars safer than small cars?

In frontal impacts between cars, the occupants of the heavier car or the one with higher structures tend to fare better than those travelling in lighter, lower cars. As it is not possible to simulate the influence of mass in a test against a fixed barrier, Euro NCAP recommends comparison only between cars which are of a similar mass (+/- 150kg) and in the same category. Such comparisons allow the relative safety performance of cars to be judged accurately."
