Did you try searching at car dealers around Batu Caves? I understand several dealers there specialised in Rexton and other 4X4.

just want to check what is the difference between RX290 vs RX270.

thinking to get this http://www.mudah.my/...NEW-7512607.htm but not sure for it's maintenance cost n spare part cost.

i. RX290 is using older Merc generation diesel engine that is not running common rail. It's HP is also much lower, if I remember correctly it is about 120HP as compared to RX270XDI at above 160+ HP. RX290 Top speed only 150+ km/h and acceleration 0~100 is 16.4 sec.

ii. It is running 4 speed transmission.

iii. It's engine compartment does not looks as neat and organised as RX270XDI with engine cover.

iv. On the outlook, the front metal grill is smaller.

The ads photo interior looks pretty nice but try to request for photo of the engine compartment before viewing. The older model has more complaints related to engine and transmission, that's why RX270XDI was made to replaced all the different engine model.

on the appearance it is almost identical, even the gadget inside the car.
rx290 comes with 4 speed auto gearbox, rx270 comes with 5 speed.

the power different is a lot and rx270 can be easily remap to increase the horsepower and torque. Go test drive both then you will immedietly notice the difference.

When are you planning to get yours? If budget allowed, try to get a 2003 RX270XDI (quite rare) that is probably around RM50k.
