Today, after riding about 12 km, the thermometer indicate 2-3 bar of
temperature which is slightly higher. Normaly its only 1 bar even after
riding about 100km. Ive check the radiator tank, to my suprised the water
is below the minimum level. Wah! is this normal for a 1 month bike to
loose its radiator water that fast??? Ive top-up the radiator water with
mineral water and its back to normal again. So guys is there something
wrong with my radiator or its normal??

Wah! Only 1 bar after 100KM ride? Mine will go 2 bars usually. When I
received the Elegen, the radiator tank was half tank full, now is a little
lower then half tank, but it is no resonable to go until lower than the
min limit for just 1 month isn't it? Some more the mechanic told me I
don't need to top it up, it will be done during service.

Now should I top up the tank up to the full limit? or leave it half tank?

IMHO Radiator Expansion tank should be filled half tank same as the car
radiator system. It is to allow expansion of the hot water if overheated.

My question: Do you all use radiator coolant for the Elegan and what type
is the best?? Is it 100% coolant or the one that being mixed with water?

I collected my Elegan yesterday evening finally! Your buying advice,
riding experience observation and some internet research provided very
helpful information to make my buying expereience positive!

My observations:

Petrol cap takes some practising to open and close it. Beware of spilling
when you are pumping in the petrol.

Aiyo ... only 1 full face helmet + semi full face helmet fit under the
seat. Large full face helmets has to be crushed slightly when you close
the seat.

Running-In period, according to the manual I should keep my speed 1/2
(140km/2)which is 70kmh for the 1st 500km. Is this correct?

Will be ideal to have a little bag/pouch in front to hold your small
items like sunglass, HP, comb etc.

Psychologically wired, I've been very attracted to look at all Elegan
riders ..... colour, accessories, etc etc.

Happy riding everyone!

Congrats Wong,

I'll suppose to get my Elegan on Wednesday but all the JPJ's
staff went for cuti2 Malaysia kot. Curi2 seen my Elegan at the
shop, kinna feel awkward coz that's a minor scratching besides
the headlamp (maybe due to tight storage or man's handling).
Izzit possible to ask the towkey to change my front fairing if i'm
not satisfied with it? It's just minor though, but still new bike with
a bit scratch.

Same with you Wong, all the similar red motor passing by
(gemilang / comel) will make me turn around and comparing
hehe

hail the elegan bros'!

Congrats Wong. Was looking forward to the day, you get your Elegan. Just
a thought sprang in my mind. Taukeh Wong as the President of the Elegan
riders club Malaysia. Coool eh?.
Now the bike has been with me for the last 2 months. No disappointment.
Consumption of 27-29 litres per km, is a big OK, for the comfort and
smooth ride. Like some of u guys, the coolant went low once and temp
reading jumped to 2 bars. Topped up with premixed radiator coolant,
(bought at Makro RM14.00 for 5 litre pack).

Alright guys, ride responsibly with style. Speed does not kill, but the
Fear that speed kills manifest road crash. EvilBig Smile

Wingmaker,

Yes it was pleasingly wonderful taking the Elegan for a cruise ride with
my 2 kids! It's really comfortable, quiet and smooth!

For high traffic areas when you have to stop - short acceleration - slow
down type of riding situation, the Elegan fairs poorly compared to the
kapcai. Drinks petrol also!

I also notice there are more RED Elegan on the road than Silver!

My Elegan brake fluid - both brakes are below the 1/4 level mark when I
received the bike. Was yours similar?

I'll have to top it up with the same fluid, let me know if you know which
one it is. Or else I'll have to check the bike manual.

Hi all,

I'm a new member. After go through all the comments make me dicide
to 'angkat' elegan satu. Actually quite interested to drive scooter esp.
majestic but cant afford. Suddenly elegan got the look like majestic
(kecik sikit) but kira oklah for 1st time buy scooter.
Just need ur opinion on colour. Seems like no choice. Do you guys think
maroon is nicer than silver. Actually i like silver, look carismatic. BUT
my wife prefer maroon. So guys, help me on this decision. give some
comments. Thanks.
