mr Chen
Really can get full refund from HM? No penalty or fine of 25% from the
bokking fees. Right now I am confused cause, my SA told me I will
be 'fine' for Rm750, as I gave HM a RM3000 booking fees. Please help on
this all the sifu...

TAK-TAK Sound fr Civic
======================
i was at wegro cheras jus tis afternoon to get the chrome car no. plate
fixed. so while waiting had a chat w the service supervisor there. asked
him about the tak2x sound experienced by d new civic.
He explained, for them they hv resolved it for their customers. mostly
due to engine mounting not aligned or mounted properly at the assembly
plant.
main reason, engine bay for new civic is very tight & narrow, not very
forgiving for assembly inconsistencies. so if not mounted properly any
vibration or mechanical movement will result in this.did confirm mostly
coming fr cars delivered in mid april.
so for those whose SC cant resolve it yet, perhaps can dropby at wegro.

hi ed,
Did wegro mention that what needs to be done is just the alignment of
some adjustment to be made on the current engine mounting? Any
replacement of mounting needed?
Your clarification is appreciated. Tks.

Hi Ed,
It is a super good news if Wegro,Cheras able to fix up the mounting,
anyone nearby with "defected" Civic 2006 can go and try it up?
If confirmed that they able to fix the problem, most likely i will make
my trip down if my SC still unable to get it done.

chunwei,
Greats! Go go go! and hope that there will be a good news.
Btw, i just called up my SC regarding this and they called up to HM. HM
said that they didnt received any report from Wegro and it is impossible
that they already got it fixed on thier customers' cars without reporting
it.
hope that you will be the hero to dig the truth out!
Cheers!

hi jackychua, seems like u spend heaps of time trying to fix ur civic
But anyway i feel like i am wasting my time again this time.
According to them, there is two type of common sound complain by civic
user. One is "TAK TAK" which is orgin around the dashboard front at the
driver side. Another one which is mine sounds more like "klob klob" while
driving thru those yellow strips also from front engine driver side more
like a hard empty bottle hitting the metal. Anyway I'll be getting my car
later.Not much hope

Is it only 3 of us facing this problem here? If HM have no good reply to
us, I think we should drive our car park in front of HM HQ door entry and
request reply from them,,,
The Q is how come not all cars having problem if this is mouting issue???
really weird..

hi guys, i couldnt resist but to post my comments in this thread. i too
bought a 7th gen 2.0 civic 6 months ago and are already 'enjoying' the
KLOK KLOK sound coming from the bottom front part. i believe its either
the steering rack or the lower arm. ive made my appt with Jln 222 SC next
tuesday to rectify this issue (not like im placing much hope anyways)
anyways, im suprised to find that this problem still persist in the NEW
batch of civics!! Man... honda's gotta be kidding us! i dont even have
this proton when i was driving a rm60k proton and now im paying like 120k
for a problematic honda??
if its of any consolation to u guys, u may check out
http://ns1.imxp.com/...rg/v4/index.php (where the 7th gen civic
owners dwell) and scroll down to the complaints section, u will see
almost 90% of us facing the same prob.
anyways, talk is cheap what are we gonna do about it? im gonna get the SC
to rectify this prob, if he cant, ill elevate this issue up to HM and
then ill see what happens.
