hi everyone

twotribez description of the noise is spot on..."more like dong dong
noise from drivers side. Very annoying. Happens when you go over little
ditch in the road.". Or someone else is describing "like a plastic bottle
hitting the metal". This sound would happen if you hit the ditch or road
dips faster.

Will keep on barking HM for the solution...

twotribez:
You got exactly the same car condition like mine!
1) Plastic pop up at left corner (unable to pop it back, SC ordered a new
one but not yet arrive)
2) Car paint full of scratches from bad polishing works (SA said black
color is like tat, ish! i bought turtle wax platinum and DIY, able to
cover the scratches)
3) Windows noise when winding down (only when the windows is wet), i
think this is not a big problem, after sometime, when the car gets older
and plastic fraction gone, the noise should bye bye also. (indicating ur
car is new now.. haha)
4) Luckily my wiper motor is ok.. maybe will get this soon.. :(
5) Steering noise, fixing up today.
6) Door noise, fixing up today.

Yeah I think I got the same one as you too. Terrible. I am not sure
about the window sound clearing up though. But will wait and see la.
Its not that bothersome as long the window goes up and comes down.

Have you guys got your rebate back yet??? I am still waiting on mine,
really taking a long time.

Dear JackyChua,

For the steering noise, i also face it before. Please try to send to
SC Jalan 222. They fix it for me, they replace a ring call O rign 14% (not
sure what is it). However, they took 1 whole day to fix it. So, make sure
you have spare car. Thanks

twotribez,

I get my car timely after the NAP price announced, so i need not claim
anything from HM.

hong2166,
My steering noise fixed, no need to change anything, the noise is caused
by insufficient grease applied.

As for the TAK TAK issue, there are a few mechanics including the service
manager who is trying to fix up my car today but failed. I will leave my
car at SC for another two days, they promised to allocate a few full time
main mechanics for my car. Let's pray and hope that they able to fix it.

Hi all,

any news from your SC regarding the engine mounting problem?

according to my SC, they told me they followed the instruction given by
HM to change the mounting. The result is >> softer noise.

They still trying to figure out the problem to resolve it completely.
Will update you all time to time.

Guys you know what? There are a wide variety of noises/sounds ranging
from "tak tak" to "klok klok" to all sorts of creaking sounds. This is a
normal thing for Honda cars not only 8th gen, but also 7th gen, 6th gen
etc..

Many Honda owners out there complained.. not because they can't stand the
sound.. but because of the expectations from a Honda and the price they
paid for the car with their hard earned money.

Honda SC had endless promises to solve all these sound. I even heard fake
excuses about waiting for Honda Malaysia to reply etc.. But until today,
no effort to solve anything.. and then slowly these things become
forgotten. These sounds still remain to exist.

I don't intend to disappoint anyone... I was one of the proud Honda
owners myself who had a lot of anticipation once. Anyway... be prepared
to hear more sounds over the next 6-12 months of usage. Also.. don't
forget to pay attention to customer service level and how your car is
being treated by the Honda SC mechanics.

What I felt and experience in the end was that.. I was very much left on
my own as a consumer to deal with whatever "klok klok" issues and other
Honda quality issues.

Good luck to all.

Frost,

Yeah I don't think they can resolve this issue. It will eventually blow
away but seriously though, I had an EK4, no tak tak noise at all, maybe
plastics vibrate eventually but that all Jap cars. This one however came
out brand new and so many people got problem.

I just hope that it is not something dangerous thats all.

Honda, I hope you reading this forum. So many supporters being let
down. I think Honda should just shut down the plant, stop CKDs and just
import the cars. This is really affecting their image. Besides whats
the point of producing cars in Malaysia if the price is still so high yet
the quality so bad? I heard that the Mazda 3 CBU will be around RM115K
to RM130K.

If I could wait longer I would have waited for the Mazda 3. I rather pay
4K more or something to get a CBU.

All I can say is guys, stick with CBUs, there still may be problems but
lesser chance of it.
