Hi all,

After "monitoring" for weeks, i can conclude that new batches of
CIVIC "escaped" from the TAK TAK noise problem.

But the bad news is > WHY HONDA STILL UNABLE TO FIX THE FIRST BATCH
CIVIC?!
If the new batch of civics are free from the problem, doesnt it meant
that HM already knew the problem and got solution on it?

I think is good for us to gather all "TAK TAK" civic list here and urge
honda to fix ours?!

Getting fedup, i sold my potong to avoid "PROBLEMS". but now feel even
worse coz the noise is loud and cant get it fixed!

Hi Jacky and Chun Wei

My problem is still there tak tak from the front driver side.

Just read motor trader forum and one driver nick name Vader just
collected his car in Ipoh and reported " a loud ting" noise from the
driver side when going over bumps.

The problem has been identified narrowed down to the driver side. I am
also getting fed up as HM should spend their weekends solving this
problem.

Jacky, so far did Tay Auto inform you what part are they going to change?

I told the SC and SA that i am getting fedup of this problem since it is
gettting louder and i got a new problem again > steering rattling "clark
clark nyek nyek" noise, the only different from honda as comparing to
proton is they are polite and keep on saying sorry...

BUT, sorry no cure! !!
the SA told me that the TAK TAK sound is due to one of the engine
mounting at driver site, there will need to change it but no spare parts
at the moment. I found this to be very funny, if no parts, why they still
able to assemble new car(without TAK TAK somemore) from thier factory? I
waited 2 weeks, it is more then enough to let them send down the parts
using bicycle!

I also very fed up with this...how come more than 100K still having same
problem of waja....a bit regret to get Honda. What hell the QC doing ...
if honda keep going relay than we get the list by this week and publish in
media or Internet see if Honda want to take care their customer or not.

anyway, count me in.. really cannot tolerate the weird sound from driver
side ....

SA told me they have reported the problem to HM. Unfortunately no
response from HM. What happen to the famous Honda "quality"??? I don't
think the problem is with Honda itself, but with the management and
quality control of the assembly in Honda Malaysia! I hope the Honda
parent company is aware of the QC problem in HM.

Btw when i did my complain was on saturday, they claim they dont have
sufficient time to fix my problem. But anyhow they did manage to test
drive few times to identify the sound and only come up with the solution
is to tighten the front suspension. Anyhow i just think they trying to
entertain my complain and waste my time . But my source of sound is
more like a plastic bottle hiting a hard metal sound. Not really TAK TAK.

I went to SC this afternnon , they also approached me same as U. However
I will the see the result on Saturday. you are right is something hit the
metal may be the cable hit the chassis.....

Just add your nick name into list then we will consolidate to HM( of
course need your real name and car plate that time).

i think i am the "more lucky" one then, at least they are ordering the
parts to fix up the engine mounting for me.. but too bad, no news yet.

my car is @ SC for whole day today, >> fixing up the steering.

Hopefully we can consilidate the list soon and do something like mspeed
(complaint until honda buy back his 9 months old jazz).

Btw, for the black civic at PJ SC, i think the owner is wise. Maybe he
just put there and wait for the SC to competely fix up the issue. If the
SC cant fix it within 30 days, the owner reserve the rights to get a new
unit or partial refund.(something called lemon law to protect comsumer).
just asssumption, not sure whether this law works in malaysia.

Hi guys,

Finally got my activation code so i can post. Have been reading this
forum for a while and picked up my Civic end of March.

I too am experiencing the tak tak noise or more like dong dong noise from
drivers side. Very annoying. Happens when you go over little ditch in
the road. Now when I just go over a speed hump I also get a creaking
noise from the right driver side.

A week after I got my car, I also had to get my wiper motors replaced.
The rain was very heavy the motor was making grinding noise so loud i can
even hear when the rain so heavy but lucky still working.

Also had to get the plastic panel in the passenger left corner (where the
small window is) fixed as it kept popping up. They did their best to fix
but it still pops out a little bit

Secondly, I have another stupid problem. When the car has been sitting
in the rain, then I wind down and up the front passenger and drivers
window, it will make a loud creaking noise. However, this only happen
when car has been sitting in rain. When dry again, sound disappear.
OMG, I have to wait for rainy day then bring to service center to show
them. But confirmed everytime this happens, been like that for a month
already. Anyone experience this?

Also paint work of the car is terrible. Felt like second hand car. I
just paid 180 RM to get it polished. Now smooth again.

I was going to get Rims, but with all these problems, I decided not too.
This will be my last CKD model ever. I have owned many Hondas before all
CBUs and never had a single issue. Thus, I would have to say that this
is all CKD problems.

If I change the wheels, who knows, I may drive over speed hump and the
wheel falls off. Extreme, I know but soooooo possible.

Seriously, if you look at the whole thing, its no big deal. BUT WHEN YOU
ARE PAYING 113K YOU SHOULD BE GETTING SOME SORT OF QUALITY.

I should have just bought a Myvi or Suzuki Swift and saved the money.
This has been the most regretful buy I have made in a long time.

I just hope the issues are fixed and I still have not got my bloody
refund after NAP yet. My dealer says Honda Malaysia suppose to pay, I
call Honda Malaysia and they said dealer suppose to pay. Now SC said
have to wait for a letter from Honda Malaysia then can pay back.

The only good thing that came out of this is that I got a good SC.

Ahaha sorry to complain so much on first post, but I only got my
activation code today so post all complaints at once.
