a few stretch, mostly the bridges r not yet paved. so you have to be aware
when u approach those bridges to slow down as the connection between
bridge and the road is not level. so need to slow down. the road is very
deserted especially at night.
other than that, no problem. You can save +- 1 to 1 1/2 hour by bypassing
baling n the treacherous climb of klian intan.
the route will take u straight to grik.
have a nice n safe journey.

to Prai and will bring them to Langkawi, Perlis and of cource Pulau
Pinang. Then I will drive them back to KT from Prai this Hari Raya. Passed
through once the new Kulim/Grik highway but the second time (about 1 month
ago)it was blocked. That's why I am worried will have to make a detour to
Baling/Pengkalan Hulu if it is closed. Just to make sure. Thanks a lots
for the info.

problem
is the route between felda aring(or is it ciku?) to Kuala Berang is not
yet
fully 100% ready. In a 4wd u can tackle this route n u can make it safely
to Kuala
berang."...................................................................
Hi Ardenz, I'm interested to know the state of the road from Gua Musang to
Ku Berang. Where is the turning point from Gua Musang towards Ku Berang on
this new road?

"AlmosT" complete, just a few km only left unpaved but already lined with
gravel. so theoretically, u can try that with a car, but i'm sure it's
better with higher riding vehicle like conventional van (not MPV) or 4wd.
and having 4wd is a boon,
of course u will never know in what state the road is after the gravel had
been chewed by numerous overloaded timber hauler mercedes 911.
After +-40km from gua musang, at felda aring, there's a new road, with the
obligatory "Projek BY KERAjaan BN" signboard. Stated there package 4? of
Simpang Pulai-Gua Musang Kuala Berang Hiway. Turn right n u r on your way
to Kuala Berang.
ok hope it helps..
have a nice holiday...

kerai. For the road to Kenyir/Kuala Berang the said junction is near felda
aring (if i'm not mistaken, got so many feldas there that i'm confused...
or is it ciku.). But for sure it's not that far from gua musang, +- 40 km
only.
too bad i'm not taking that road (gua musang-simpang pulai) to cross the
main range tonite or else i can confirm it with u.
Going via jeli-Gerik. raya at d inlaws place this year!!!!
