Upon reaching GM town from east coast u will reach a traffic light, take
left. The junction to CH is just a few Km onwards. At the next traffic
light,(u will se the town mosque on your right) take right turn . It was
well signposted from there.

Go straight . U will reach a T junction, take right (u will see a Police
Station on your right)

Travel for a few km u will reach another T junction, (A big Mamak
Restaurant on your left )take left towards Kuala Betis. Go on for another
+-15km n you will reach another T junction, take left, the road will take u
to CH.

have a nice trip

ch to gm will take about 1 hour. gm to kuala kerai is about 1 1/2 hr. so
from kl to ipoh is 2 hours plus. ipoh to ch = 1 hr. so from kl to gm via
ch is about 4 1/2 hrs. if u r driving , say a beemer u can shave another ,
say 30 mins/1 hrs from the estimated time.

kl to machang can be safely done in under 6 hours.

to those whe plan to use this hiway, just a few reminder. the road from CH
to GM. If you are coming from CH, just beware, after KM40, the road had
steadily becoming vey very bumpy. There are numerous sinkholes to watchout
for. if , say you are doing 100km plus n u hit one of those sinkhole..
it's not gonna be pretty.

just be carefulSmile

Hi all,

Sorry to bring back an old topic but need latest information if anyone has.

I'm planning to travel from Simpang Pulai-->Lojing-->Kuala Berang next week therefore need to know if this route is possible. My final destination is Kuala Trengganu. Instead of using my regular route, KL-->Karak-->East Coast HW-->KT, I want to try this alternative route for a change to enjoy the view and trip with my family.

Any information or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

So art806 you're saying that Simpang Pulai-->Lojing-->Kuala Berang ---> is possible? I will be going to KT from Ipoh next week and have never used this route before.

According to googlemap there is no direct route from GM to KT.
