Again, I say it's all about having respect for the vehicles performance and mastering the necessary skills to drive the particular vehicle. No rocket science!

May be you should have a talk with the little kid about not to run across the road randomly. Or may be you have never met an idiot driver who suddently without warning fancy your lane, lucky you. BTW, those situation has nothing to do with not respecting vehicle performance etc.

Finally you are getting it!
Here's another thing for you. If you want to talk to all the kids who run across traffic, that's up to you, another foolish idiotic suggestion!
Once you sit behind the wheel, you owe a duty of care to anyone on the road, more so to kids. If knock a kid who runs right across, you are at fault. The onus is on you to have sufficient skills to drive that particular vehicle safely.
This is an unstable vehicle and therefore got out of control, not my fault, is NO defence! Anunstable vehicle will not get road worthiness.
Don't kid yourself about the accident, if you are asking for it!
