I've just taken the family to Kuantan in my Ranger. It's the first time I've taken the Ranger on a long journey.

I took it off road to Jerangkang Waterfall and got a bit lost in the jungle. We crossed some rivers and traveled quite far into the jungle. The Ranger performed brilliantly. It was sure footed and never once felt like it was struggling. Mud, slopes, rivers, all easy. I'm not sure how to compare it to other trucks or to grade the difficulty of the track so that's about as much feedback as I can give.

In terms of refinement, not so good. I felt very tired after driving for 3 hours. I got vibrations through the steering wheel when I went over 130kmph. I've done the same trip in my Accord and it was a breeze. Not so much in the Ranger. Are all pick-ups like that?

Your description of comfort is too vague so it is not possible to draw any comparative conclusions.

All I can say is that I have driven my Navarra on a 6,000Km round-trip to The Golden Triangle and driving every day around 400+ Km, I did not feel tired or unusual vibrations.
