Cycle & Carriage’s role in this partnership encompasses providing internships, extending study grants to graduate students, hosting career development workshops, seminars, and training sessions, facilitating networking opportunities with industry professionals, and delving into industry-related joint research or innovation ventures.

“At Cycle & Carriage, fostering talent is at the heart of our mission. We are dedicated to offer meaningful opportunities for graduates to embark on their automotive careers in line with our efforts to contribute to society under our ESG efforts. By nurturing young talent, we are investing in the future of the industry and empowering the next generation of professionals. Through our collaboration with ESnet Academy, we are building a supportive ecosystem where graduates can thrive and excel, driving innovation and success in the automotive sector,” said Thomas Tok, CEO of Cycle & Carriage Bintang. Cycle & Carriage_Technicians_Training_Workshop

Meanwhile, ESnet Academy will be instrumental in this endeavour by recruiting promising talents and tailoring supplementary body and paint modules specifically for Cycle & Carriage in Malaysia. This is especially relevant given Cycle & Carriage’s operation of 5 Mercedes-Benz-accredited body and paint workshops across Malaysia (Batu Caves, Glenmarie, Johor Bahru, Bukit Tengah, and Ipoh).

“We are excited to join forces with Cycle & Carriage to create pathways for graduates to excel in the
automotive sector in Malaysia. By combining our expertise in education with Cycle & Carriage’s industry
knowledge, we can provide students with valuable opportunities to gain practical experience and develop
essential skills that remain relevant as they graduate from student to skilled professional”, commented
Sam Chang, Managing Director of ESnet Academy.

The initial phase of this partnership has already started with both organisations actively working on mutually beneficial programmes. These initiatives include project consultations, staff training, facilitating staff and student attachments, establishing knowledge base centres, and exploring other related areas of cooperation.

Cycle & Carriage and ESnet Academy are committed to ensuring the success of this collaboration to enhance the talent pool of the Malaysian automotive industry.
