Great Wall Motor Charges Ahead With Range Of New Energy Vehicles For Its Brands
At the recent Auto Shanghai 2023, Great Wall Motor (GWM) showed its commitment to be a leader in the xEV field with the introduction of a range of new energy vehicles from its 5 major brands i.e. HAVAL, TANK, ORA, POER, and WEY.
Auto Shanghai 2023 was a unique opportunity to experience the latest NEVs and technologies, and get a glimpse of the future of sustainable transportation. At the event, Parker Shi, Vice President and Head of the International Market at GWM, emphasised the company’s shift to new energy vehicles and the importance of Auto Shanghai 2023 in showcasing its achievements which includes over 15 new energy vehicles.
GWM HAVAL unveiled its all-new star product lineup, including the Fierce Dragon MAX, a new energy SUV for the China market. This vehicle boasts the revolutionary Hi4 (Hybrid Intelligent 4WD) technology in a youthful and and futuristic package. Meanwhile, GWM POER showed off a new pickup i.e. a 6×6 version, along with the large high-performance hybrid pickup the POER Shanhai PHEV / HEV.
GWM TANK showcased 2 NEVs i.e. the TANK400 PHEV, which made its world debut, and the luxury off-road new energy SUV TANK500 PHEV, which opened its worldwide pre-sale. Leading the brand to the high-end intelligent NEV market, GWM WEY introduced its first MPV model – the WEY Gaoshan PHEV, and showcased the 6-seater electric SUV Lanshan PHEV. GWM ORA also released 2 pure electric models at the show.
GWM also demonstrated its innovative technologies, including the 3.0T V6 engine + 9HAT+P2 platform, the Hi4 system, TANK platform, and the proprietary 6×6 super off-road platform.
Shi emphasised GWM’s commitment to leveraging the forest ecosystem to accelerate technology iteration and product upgrading, providing global users with high-quality and intelligent new-energy products that complies with the company’s NEV philosophy of ‘Greener, Higher, and Safer.’
