Bettina Plangger has joined the senior leadership in Mercedes-Benz Malaysia as Vice President. Her appointment will also make her Head of Marketing & Sales of Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II, effective 17 April 2023.

I’m excited and truly geared up in engaging with our leadership team locally and globally, aligning with our Ambition 2039 towards the future of mobility, in support of the sustainable and digitisation of the Malaysian automotive market,” commented Bettina.
Her last position prior to coming to Malaysia was as the Head of Sales Passenger Cars for Munich in Germany. She started her career in 2000 at Daimler AG and worked in product management. Subsequently, she held various positions in Marketing & Sales including market management responsibility for the Eastern European markets of Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and Serbia.
In 2016, she was appointed to the role of Head Sales at Fleetboard, where she was responsible for 35 markets globally. In 2018, Bettina took over Mercedes-Benz owned retail in Augsburg and was instrumental in implementing the new retail brand concept at all customer touchpoints.
During her tenure, Bettina was instrumental in operationalizing the brand’s luxury strategy and led her team to top ranking positions in sales and customer satisfaction. Bettina’s appointment comes into effect as the incumbent, Michael Jopp, had completed his tenure in Malaysia. He was appointed to Mercedes-Benz Malaysia in 2019.
