Special Offers For Toyota Vios And Yaris In August
UMW Toyota Motor has special offers for the Toyota Vios and Yaris in the month of August. Buyers of the Vios or Yaris will be able to enjoy benefits worth RM4,000, on top of cash rebates.
In tune with such promotions to increase sales, UMW Toyota Motor is also making sure that its production capacity is able to meet customer demand. “UMW Toyota Motor is committed to ensuring prompt vehicle delivery. In the month of July 2022, UMW Toyota Motor had registered sales of 6,624 Toyota vehicles. In the same month, the company saw 13 units of Lexus vehicles sold. This brings the group’s tally to 6,637 vehicles for the month. Of this figure, the Toyota Hilux contributed 1,788 units, allowing this popular model to retain the title of best-selling pick-up truck in Malaysia since 2005.
As for year-to-date results, the past 7 months saw UMW Toyota Motor sell a combined total of 52,548 vehicles. In comparison, its total sales for the first 7 months of 2021 registered 35,561 vehicles (Toyota & Lexus). This represents a 48% year-on-year increase as the economy opens up, and buyers take advantage of the sales tax waiver on new vehicles.
As an aside, and in alignment with the Toyota Global commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and in support of the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, UMWT recently held 2 events i.e. a tree planting programme at the Kuala Selangor Nature Park as well as a Hike and Clean event at Bukit Broga, Semenyih.
The tree planting programme saw 80 participants plant 1,500 mangrove saplings which will grow to act as a huge carbon sink, sequestering 2 to 4 times more carbon than mature rainforests. Meanwhile, the Hike and Clean activity, which is part of the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050, aims to establish a future society that lives in harmony with nature, exemplifying how UMWT walks the talk when it comes to environmental preservation.
