Hino Malaysia Offers Enhanced Warranty And Free Telematics Subscription For HINO 500
Hino Motors Sales (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (HMSM) has introduced a new and enhanced warranty programme for the HINO 500 Series truck. The new 5-year or 500,000 km mileage warranty which was implemented on 1 March 2021, covers both chassis and powertrain for its 500 Series medium heavy-duty (MHCV) / prime mover truck. However, mixer, tipper, and compactor applications are exempted from this warranty.
Compared to the previous warranty of 1 year (unlimited mileage) for chassis and 2 years (200,000 km mileage) for powertrain, the new 5-year / 500,000 km warranty provides better peace of mind and is the best available for this range in the market.

Furthermore, HMSM is making available the HINO Connect telematics system for the HINO 500 Series with a free subscription for up to 5 years. The HINO Connect system was introduced in the latest line of HINO 300 Series light-duty commercial vehicle in October 2020.
The 5-year free subscription to HINO Connect, and free installation of the device and 7″ touchscreen, promises customer’s peace of mind and cost savings. HINO Connect is a set of services that connects the vehicle with the customer’s office through a telematics system to provide vehicle data and fleet position. Review of driving performance can also be done allowing operators / customers to make informed decisions and take the necessary actions to improve fleet productivity.
This telematics system allows fleet owners to save money by reducing fuel consumption, identifying vehicles that are driven improperly (driver behaviour data), and planning service and maintenance schedules (service reminder feature) in order to reduce unexpected downtime. When complemented with Hino Driver Training at Hino Total Support Customer Center (HTSCC), fleet owners can see a savings of up to 10% in fuel costs.
HINO Connect is also designed to improve the safety and security of the truck, with a 24-hour call centre assistance as well as a theft monitoring system.
Free Service Programme (FSP)
Additionally, the newly enhanced warranty programme comes with 3x Free Service Programme (FSP) that includes labour, parts, and lubricants. With this Free Service Programme, HMSM aims to give the best aftersales support and to convey the company’s gratitude for the customer’s trust and confidence in the HINO brand.
