Perodua Bezza Facelift Launched; 5,600 Expected Deliveries By End January 2020
Perodua has officially launched the Bezza facelift, and the company is expecting some 5,600 deliveries to be done by the end of January 2020. Available in four variants (1.0 G MT, 1.0 G AT, 1.3 X AT and 1.3 AV AT), the 2020 Perodua Bezza is priced between RM34,580 and RM49,980 (on the road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia).
Unveiled by Perodua Chairman, Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin, the 2020 Bezza is updated with contemporary looks and fitted with advanced safety technology in a compact, great-value package that continues to offer fuel efficiency, dependability, space, practicality, ease of drive and low ownership costs.
“The 2020 Perodua Bezza is the result of our many engagements with our valued customers. The improvements we have made are centred around the ideas of smart design, smart drive and smart safety,” said Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Zainal Abidin Ahmad.
The facelifted Bezza comes with a bolder appearance with sharp LED headlamps that are standard across the board framing an angular and imposing front bumper. Two-tone side skirts are also standard across the range and join a restyled rear bumper and striking 15″ 10-spoke alloy wheels (1.3L variants only) for a cohesive and confident look.
Inside the 1.3L variants, you get gauges with white illumination, keyless entry and start, as well as front corner sensors. Meanwhile, all variants are equipped with power-adjustable side mirrors and reverse sensors; the AV variant adds a reverse camera and its side mirrors can retract with the push of a button.
Further, Perodua’s Advanced Safety Assist 2.0 (ASA 2.0*) suite of driver assistance safety systems makes its debut in the Bezza range on the AV variant, making it the most affordable sedan in Malaysia with such a feature.
The ASA 2.0 consists of Pedestrian Detection (up to 50 km/h), Pre-Collision Warning (up to 100 km/h), Pre-Collision Braking (up to 80 km/h), Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control, all of which work together to mitigate collisions.
Meanwhile, the X variant now gains the Vehicle Stability Control and traction control that is previously offered on the AV variant.
“With an upper-body developed completely by Perodua, the original Bezza was our first sedan and Malaysia’s first Energy-Efficient Vehicle (EEV) sedan when it launched in 2016. To date, some 184,000 units have found Malaysian homes.
“We are confident the bolder and smarter 2020 Perodua Bezza will continue to carry the torch – our aim is to sell 4,000 units monthly on average,” Dato’ Zainal said.
There are two new body colours for the Bezza i.e. Garnet Red (exclusive to 1.3L variants) and Granite Grey that complement the four existing colours on offer i.e. Ivory White, Glittering Silver, Ocean Blue and Sugar Brown.
The 2020 Perodua Bezza comes with a five-year/150,000 km warranty (whichever comes first).
