Limited Malaysia-only 55 Edition MINI Countryman launched
In conjunction with the brand’s 55th anniversary globally and also the upcoming Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day celebrations, MINI Malaysia has released a rather unique Malaysia-exclusive 55 Edition MINI Countryman.
Based on the base MINI Cooper Countryman variant, this limited-run 55-unit special edition is distinctively marked out by its exclusive 55 Edition Sports Stripe running across its front bonnet, side skirting, and rear tailgate as well as a 55 Edition Badge emblazoned on its radiator grille.
Inside, the 55 Edition is trimmed Cloth Cosmos Carbon Black upholstery to highlight a contrast between the car’s exterior and interior colours. This contrast is further emphasized with elliptical door bezels in Piano Black with a Polar Beige inlay.
Equipment-wise, the 55 comes fitted with rain sensors, automatic, head-lights, automatic anti-dazzle rear view mirror, and 16-inch five-spoke star alloy rims. In-car entertainment is provided by MINI Radio Basis with Bluetooth interface.
As per the regular Cooper Countryman, the 55 Edition is powered by the BMW Group’s renowned 1.6-litre Prince engine in one of its more basic formats, featuring port fuel injection and natural aspiration. Generating a maximum output of 120hp, the Cooper Countryman, equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission, sprints from rest to 100kph in 11.6 seconds whilst averaging fuel consumption at 7.6 l/100km.
Estimated retail price (OTR without insurance with 3-year free service) is RM188,888.
