Goodyear Malaysia donates tyres to St John Ambulance

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, Goodyear Malaysia recently donated 36 units of 185R14C G28 tyres to St John Ambulance Malaysia’s Kawasan Pantai Selangor chapter to be fitted on its fleet of Toyota Hiace ambulances.

“This program is one of Goodyear’s many philanthropic initiatives undertaken around the globe reflecting our internal corporate values. As the country’s most trusted tyre brand, we are committed to delivering safety and innovation in our products and in how we service the nation. At Goodyear, we care for the well-being of our customers and cater to their diverse transportation needs,” said Richard Fleming, Managing Director, Goodyear Malaysia.

“Goodyear is pleased to be supporting SJAM again as we believe that their efforts in social and humanitarian work benefits the local community and creates a long term vision for the country at large. It also further supports Goodyear’s commitment of encouraging community safety,” added Fleming.

SJAM is one of the oldest non-governmental organizations in Malaysia that promotes the teaching of First Aid and related health care issues to the community. The organization carries out projects such as mass CPR training, Citizen Action and Response in Emergencies (CARE) and First Aid Training Projects designed to place a first aider in every home across the country.

“It is an honour that our work here at SJAM is recognized and appreciated, especially by a global giant like Goodyear. With the continued support of Goodyear, our ambulances are always well maintained, boasting a safe ride for its occupants while easing our financial burden. It is because of brands like Goodyear that SJAM is able to serve the community for as long as we have,” said Mr Lim Ju Keong, Purchasing Executive of St John Ambulance Malaysia.
