Proton Edar gets ISO 9001:2008 certification
Proton Edar Sdn Bhd (PESB), along with 19 sales outlets and 21 service outlets nationwide, have been certified as ISO 9001:2008 compliant in a joint audit by VCA(UK) and Sirim QAS Bhd. A three-stage audit was carried out, starting in PESB HQ in May 2009 followed by random audits at 10 selected outlets in September and a further six outlets in January.
The ISO 9001:2008 certificate of registration was presented by VCA Malaysia General Manager Kazushi Arima to PESB Chief Executive Officer Mohamad Shukor Ibrahim at a handing over ceremony held recently at Proton’s Centre of Excellence (COE). The ceremony was also witnessed by SIRIM Berhad Senior General Manager Dr. Mohd Azman Idris and Proton Director of Group Quality Azmi Idris.
Looking forward, PESB plans to have all of its outlets to receive the same ISO certification. Currently, 26 sales & service outlets are still pending.
