Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2009 – Two Cycle & Carriage Bintang customers walked away with a brand new Mercedes-Benz B-class each, being the winners of CCB’s 110th Anniversary Celebration Contest.

The contest ran from January 1st to May 31st this year, and saw almost 3,000 entries from the brand’s five showrooms across the country. The contest was open to all sales and after sales customers who either purchased a Mercedes-Benz from CCB or serviced their existing Mercedes-Benz at any of the CCB centres. Customers were required to answer a simple question about the brand and submit a slogan.

Professor Mohd Rais Mustafa submitted the winning slogan for the sales category while Mr Voong King Yee won the after sales category with his slogan. Both winners were delighted when presented with a brand new Mercedes-Benz B170, courtesy of CCB.

CCB dates back to the late 19th century when the vision and dreams of two young men resulted in the starting of a company then known as the Federal Stores. They sold everything from soap to writing paper to screwdrivers and simple machine parts. As the years passed, they included bicycles, motorcycles and motor cars.

Now with more than a hundred years in the industry, CCB is built on providing high quality service to customers. “It has taken CCB enormous efforts to reach this level but it could not have been possible without our customers. It is with their trust, loyalty and support throughout these years that has contributed to the success of CCB thus far,” said Mr Wong Kin Foo, Chief Operating Officer, Cycle & Carriage Bintang Berhad.

“Being our 110th year in the business, our celebrations will continue. From July onwards we are kicking off our next campaign with two more exciting giveaways. It will definitely be as fun and memorable as the one that ended, concluded Mr Wong.
