Proton Offers Free Pre-Holiday Inspection for Waja
Proton has today announced the offer of a ‘free pre-holiday inspection’ for all Wajas. The campaign, details of which are in newspaper advertisements, asks owners to bring their cars to EON or USPD or even to the Proton factory in Shah Alam for the inspection “to ensure that your Waja is running in tip-top condition”. It runs from November 27th till December 7th 2000.
Also mentioned in the advertisement is a ‘Thank You’ to the 105 Waja owners who were at the first “Meet-the-Waja owners” gathering on November 19th. “This was the first time we interacted with our customers in this way… your feedback was invaluable,” the advertisement noted.
It also mentioned that [during the event], there were ‘some reports of isolated incidences of condensation, loose fittings and the phenomena of engines stalling’ which were addressed immediately.
No press statement has been issued by Proton concerning this exercise, nor has there been any official clarification on concerns raised by Waja owners over the fuel tank issue.
