It is a LICENSED COPY and not PIRATED COPY. That is the difference.

Besides that, it is not a 100% COPY car. With improvements in some areas on the original car, this car may be a show off of what PROTON/LOTUS ENGINEERING is capable to do in a limited capacity.

Don't blame Proton should the car quality fails to deliver because it is not 100% Japanese quality. It may have been built by Soueast Motor (SEM) in China with Mitsubishi expertise.

I will still go for car 100% manufactured/designed by Proton/Lotus. Don't want to waste money paying for licenses crap.

for me, this is very good move.. benefit to Proton, Mitsu and the most important, customer like us.. for lancer owner, spare part no longer an issue for your car.. more after market item.. do not feel sad ..

keen to make booking but need to see the car first. How the build quality.. if about the same as lancer, should be no issue.. if using lower grade material, will look other option.. no need to hurry..

I feel so disappointed to m'sia proton...they dont have own creative mind and like to use other ppl technology and design. they just change abit some makeup add somethings on it. then let the price go down. other foreigner will think m'sia proton damn low class. i feel so shame as other country like japan will feel m'sia forever copycat. aih...
nowadays which mitsubishi lancer 2.0 will cry like hell who bought RM124k++ then now jt change abit makeup and change logo only sell RM90k++
