Ain't fair if owners had to replace at own cost.
Look like the fuel pump issue is happening more frequently.
Hope it won't happened as frequent as the tensioner pulley.

I think it could be a manufacturer defect if the cases keep going up....would be useful to have a thread to register how many owners were affected by this issue...

All this while my mileage is around RM50 = 280 +/- km. Last week while i was vacuuming my car i lifted my rear passenger seat and open up the black cap and to my surprise there was fuel flooded all over the fuel pump assembly.
Sent my car for checking and they found a small crack line on the return pipe fuel. Been asking around friends and drivers from the internet they said that cannot be sealed even using the strongest glue (Have not tried Silicon glue). Bought a unit from ASLI (RM740) and fix it at workshop costs around RM 800.
And my mileage for the first tank since the change of the new fuel pump actually scales RM50 = 350 km. I was wondering how long I've been breathing the fuel stench and how much fuel that i loss due to the leakage all this while? o.O The severity of this damage could leave me burn in hell due to the oil spill until underneath my RHS wheel with just a small live cig butt thrown out from some beng's window.

I fix mine around RM1K, parts by non-authorised workshop (RM800++) + one Fuel Supply Pipe.
Actually, if the black cap is securely tight, you can't smell; I only notice it everytime I open my car door, and I thought when I pump petrol the petrol leak or something, until one day I was curious and check (actually also because the smell getting worst, after I open the black cover/cap, it was really bad...... touching it to make sure it's tight, the whole piece BROKE OFF!!! That's how bad it is... I use epoxy resin (like cement) for temporary solution and so that my BB Lion can still be driven. It managed to hold it in place and actually very STRONG, but still leak...

As for me, i've changed the fuel pump twice, both at own expense.
So currently, I'm on my third fuel pump. Great.
Sadly, it is one confirmed recurring defect that 206 owners have to live with.
AFAIK:
1. There is no permanent solution to this stupid, expensive defect; and
2. Peugeot do nothing about it.

as long as it is less than 100K km/3years go ahead and make a claim. i claimed mine at 80K. do not over fill when you fuel up. stop after 2 'click' . over fill will give pressure inside the tank and the pump. imagine when you shake a can of coke.... worst bcos the pump is too fragile...
