Wow Delpiero, your experience is worse than mine.

But the same conclusion, whether it's service or sales - they have this tidak apa attitude: you want to buy, then show your money first, don't talk so much, otherwise, go buy a Merc or BMW or Audi......(didn't even bother to say "please"... Idiots!)

So Delpiero, what's your ride now?

exactly..they just couldn't be bothered. I wouldn't be so bitter if i get this kind of treatment from unscrupulous 2nd hand car dealers but not from a global brand like VW!
not only do they dont say please, they dont even apologize even once for all the trouble they put me through!!

in the end i opted for the manual suzuki swift sport. got my car after just 1 week of putting my deposit...no hassle, everything went smoothly.

its a shame actually cos VW has lots of good cars coming soon..the MK6, the Scirocco, the Passat CC. But if i decide to get a conti, i'd definitely put VW Malaysia last on my list, even with all the good cars they have.

Well the suzuki swift sport is a good nippy car. I think it is a good choice honestly. Good for the environment too.

there's a shop near my place that can do a mod on your swift sport that'll bump up power quite a bit without the use of forced induction. good for 0-100 times of sub 8 seconds (i think i recall seeing 7.5s for the century sprint) smile.gif you can test drive the owner's own yellow unit to get a feel of what the mod can do. and it looks stealth too! even JPJ / Puspakom would not spot it. hahaha.

Suzuki may not have 3S service centres like Toyota or Honda, but their service is very good indeed, small workshops here and there they may be.

The one in Connaught is recommended. Good service and friendly. smile.gif

Bro,

Those VW guys will not bothered whether you happy or not lah...their motto is "take it or leave it...", that's what I encounter in VW Fed H'way. Wanna test drive also must put deposit, got such policy meh...KNS.

I encountered a SA in Curve, initially, wah, very helpful wit this & that, but when I said I wanna try my luck by selling my car myself, the true color came out, saying dont be so choosy, dont have high expectation, why bother, just sell at whatever price 2nd hand dealer offer those comments. From that day onwards, I dont even bother to call back. Now, am happily driving a Merc.

I would say, not only VW, I think Toyota SC are like that too and I do agree that Suzuki have quite a good SC, small, but efficient.

yup, im happy with it. quite a good car actually. handles very very well.

VW needs to go back and learn Customer Service 101.
The only reason they are surviving now is because of the Golf Gti..if not for that car im sure they would have closed down because with their service level, people have tons of other choices now when it comes to buying cars.

to be honest, i have never dealt directly with VW Malaysia before. all our dealings, as customers, are with their appointed dealers.

one thing is painfully obvious - VW Malaysia either does not know how their dealers are royally screwing their customers (or potential customers for that matter!) or they do not care. this is something i'd like to know! do note that VW Cars, Euromobil, Federal Auto, Wearnes, etc are all authorized dealers appointed by VW Malaysia.

the problematic dealers need to do more than customer service 101. i think they need to stop existing and pass their business to someone else who CARES about the business more than just attending road shows and events.

Hey but your nick is still TSI Jetta - the VW Jetta right?

So the complaints are true even at the stage before they sell the car. Goodness me. Well Toyota markets itself at a different segment than VW. Although I believe they shoul have better customer service, I think they can afford to piss off customers more than VW does.

I have known a few friends who opted for non-toyota pick-ups because of the bad service given to them. Time will tell.

my wife actually owns a toyota and i found the service to be pretty decent. in fact, the after sales services has improved over the years. when i drove the very first generation vios, toyota's after sales service was atrocious!!!!

in the last few services that i did for her car, i've been pleasantly surprised by the experience (even if the service advisor was lying through his teeth and forced to keep a smile hahahaha). i got what i want at the right price and the right amount of time spent. i don't really care what goes on in the back - even if they have to hire aliens from mars to make it happen. smile.gif
