My dad owns a VW Passat since 1.5 years ago after being loyal to the merc brand for some time. Beautiful and powerful car.

I usually accompany him to the Service Centre when during interval serivces. We use the Waynes SC at Jln Sg Besi (sharing with Sweedish Marque Volvo).

The car just completed its 60,000 km service yday, and I never remember an interval service which didn't make me / my dad go mad.

This is their problem:

1) The service level does not match the car status, they do not value you as a customer, they do not go a step forward to make you happy.

2) Service personnel is not as friendly. It is sort of telling us "if you don't like it, go somewhere else, we have a lot more to do...."

Yesterday, on the 60,000km service, they charged RM2600 total, with Rm120 for alignment / balancing / tyres rotation. They promised to rotate the tyres, when we get the car - it was not done because "one of your rear rims has a bit of dent, hence we cannot rotate it to the front". My dad got angry and told them off "I asked you to rotate the tyres, you can rotate the tyres without rotating the rims, right?". And there he waited for another 2 hours for that to be done.

I don't know about you guys, I run my own biz, and I will always do little little things more to make my clients happy. Don't tell me the RM2600 bill in total doesn't allow enough margin for VW to do what is right with a dented rim? Just do more work, take out the tyres and rotate it.

If VW is serious about building a brand which is at upper middle range, you better make sure the after service is good.

My family has two Peugeots, beatiful car, and it's always a happy moment going to the SC for servicing. Price is good. people are friendly, job is done well! - That's Kheng Soon Chan Saw Lin just about 500m away from bloody VW SC I was complaining about.

Laziness is always in human, sometimes they thought we are stupid until we cant tell whether it was rotated or not. This has to blame that guy that incharge of the tires, he did not change it.

The whole service team is not performing well la. right from the person who greet you as though he is going through some pre-menstrual syndrom.

welcome to the wonderful world of VW after sales service. i haven't heard a single good thing about it. some people don't bother sending their cars back to VW for servicing. screw the warranty and save the heartache. besides, servicing the car outside is much, much cheaper than at VW.

Droll, warranty? what warranty?

Those who bought the first batch of Passats - I don't think there is any "warranty" given.

Which service centre (non-authorised VW specialist) can we go to? Pls share. I am not going back to VW SC Thanks.

yup, VW Malaysia can claimed the title of being the worst of them all...in everything!!
my experience with them has left me so bitter about their service that I would think 10 times before I go back to them for anything.
I put a deposit for a pre-reg Golf Gti in late may and then had to wait for my loan to be approved. during that time i was overseas for 10 days and so happen that the bank required additional documents from me. so i could only pass them the documents when i came back. finally when my loan was approved, i called VW to say that Im coming to collect my car. to my horror, the salesperson said that my car was sold to someone else and there are no more pre-reg units.
they said the management made a decision to collect full payment from buyers within 4 days (when i was away). and nobody from VW called me to tell me of this decision.
my attempt to see the sales director proved futile as he didnt bother to even talk to me.
i finally gave up and asked for my deposit back..and guess what they said? sir, u need to write a letter to us to request for yr deposit back. and i told them F U..u screw this up, u write the letter. i aint writing any letter. imagine that..and i had to chase them for soo many times for my deposit..they just couldn't be bothered about wanting to return it back to me.

VW Malaysia truly sucks! in all my life of buying cars, I have never come across a bunch of people as unprofessional as they are!

Wow Delpiero, your experience is worse than mine.

But the same conclusion, whether it's service or sales - they have this tidak apa attitude: you want to buy, then show your money first, don't talk so much, otherwise, go buy a Merc or BMW or Audi......(didn't even bother to say "please"... Idiots!)

So Delpiero, what's your ride now?
