Thanks bzman for your kind explanation on EDC. Mine is mechanically
controlled. Old school diesel.

had my mechanical injectors cleaned and check the pressure rating. My XTD
now starts easier and during hard acceleration very very much less smoke.

to clean the injectors were relatively cheap and easy...the pump would be
my next project.

i reckon u have a Citroen... do they have a Bosch fuel pump?
Yeah.. servicing your pump will be worth it. But if i remembered correctly Xantia is a pretty recent
model (less than 5 years?).....so unless you have done some serious mileage, perhaps not necessary
yet to service pump..

Yes its a Xantia Cit and it uses Bosch Pump. Ths FC have improve a lot
and very happy .....

Yes its cheap. The only bit of trouble is taking it out from the engine.
Mine was cleaned and they put in some shims as the pressure delivery
pressure had decreased.FC for outstation travel is fantastic.
