Hi ahhl,

may i know what type of additive you use? the additive pour inside the
engine oil with engine oil or the diesel fuel tank during refill at petrol
kiosk? what brand you use? i was thinking to use the addtitive since the
looking for the sifu who can servicing of the injector is difficult and
very little info with regd. on this topic.

wonder the additive work or not? or any harmful to the engine?

That was my earlier perception but after some enquiries to my fuel pump
manufacturer I managed to resolve my problem. If yours produced by BOSCH
you can always visit their authorised agent. If yours is EDC type there
were 2 outlet in KL (Segambut & Cheras) & 1 in Kelang. To my suprise the
servicing cost me only RM3.00 per injector (excluding removing &
instalation of injector to the engine) and it is very effective

Diesel kakis'

bzman64, do tell us what they have done to the injector ?

Is it simply swap with a new one, or they are doing the "cracking
pressure" test and observation of spray pattern.

For Mazda Fighter/Ford Ranger fuel pumps, they are made by Zexel Japan,
which is an anak syarikat of Bosch.

FYI.

Frankly speaking I do not know how and what they did to my injector as we
are not allowed to enter their servicing room which their machine is
located but believe me you can feel the different after sevicing it. You
will be able to see so many injectors was sent to them judging from the
numbers of injectors lying around. Also, their workers mostly are senior
citizen

RM3 to service an injector?

That sounds unreasonably cheap. Can you PM me the address? Would like to
check it out.

I am in KL.

Er... bzman what is the meaning of EDC?

ahhl:

Should be easy to locate a servicing center for your fuel pump. If you are
having Denso pump, there are 2 authorised centers (Segambut & Cheras).
Some in Selangor too. Visit www.denso.com.my look for the contact page.

Service interval...not needed until u have a lot of black smoke & loss of
power. Make sure change oil and fuel filter on time. Should be ok. But
if u want to be religious about servicing it, maybe u can set your own
interval. But 30,000km sounds too short. For me I am targetting 100,000km.

I sent to Ah Sang Diesel(Bosch Authorised Agent) at Jalan Segambut Bawah
K.L.

EDC - Electronic Diesel Control where the Fuel pump is controlled
electronically instead the normal mechanical control. BTW, I'm using Opel
Frontera 2.5 TDS.

For the nearest authorised agent at your nearby you can always call Robert
Bosch (M) Sdn Bhd @ 03-79663000 (G.L) and try to talk to Mr. Chong or Mr.
Terrence. They my able to fax u the list.
