Hi All,

I run a Citroen ZX 1.9D since 1998 and been making use of the Morey Fuel
Conditioner (both the petrol & the diesel ones are ok, the diesel one has
anti fungi additive and black in color)(comes in translucent white
plastic bottle, 1 litre)

The cost per bottle is about RM30 and 1 bottle of 1 litre can treat about
400 litre of fuel.

This can buy from certain spare parts shop and sometimes in accessories
shop.

So far, no trouble with the fuel systems, touch wood, injectors, pump,
filters working ok. And no black smoke, even with our damn bad diesel
quality. The diesel fuel so bad that in long run can cause the diesel
pumps to have wear & tear and smoking like those public buses (intrakota
& metro bus euro 2 engine wor!)

I believe that maintain the diesel engine like this in the long run,
cheaper than petrol one. Except for stoopid garhmen road tax policy...

It is not possible to clean by using the injector cleaner by pouring the liquid. The effect is maybe just temporary only.
Eg. Maybe you run out of time, and appointment with puspakom for company car examining, then you pour in to give temporary effect. But if too bad already for your injector this does not make sense.

Proper method is send for fuel pump shop to servicing. They will dismantling from part to parts. Then clean through.

My Frelander is using BMW diesel engine. The service centre use the Pro trec diesel injector cleaner every 20,000kms.I think it works. But now I stick to Shell diesel which claims to be a cleaner diesel.

If the nozzle still in good condition, there will be ok to do so. If the nozzle already fault or clog there is no use to use the cleaner at all. Most of the diesel from the petrol station has contamined. At least with water and mud. I heard got few petrol station diesel has standard with euro two. Using dirty diesel sure will make the injector die earlier. Chose the best and cleanest diesel to use if you know which petrol station can provide that standard.
