Yen, changing to a bigger front sprocket (or vice versa, changing to a
smaller rear sprocket) will definately increase the top speed but I don't
think I want to do that. With engine performance remains the same, changing
the sprocket for a higher top speed mean I have to sacrifice pick-up. I
don't think its worth doing it. I guess I would need 4 km of straight open
road to achieve the new top speed (180+ kph maybe) because of the slow
pick-up. How often do I want to go that fast? I would rather try to
increase pick-up. Even now, the bike pick-up is slow that when I go on the
Sepang front straight, I only managed to reach 160 kph at the end of the
staright before I ran out of road to accelarate anymore. Maybe if I can
increase pick-up (the only viable way for me right now is changing to a
bigger rear sprocket, maybe size 50T), I could shave a couple more seconds
of my lap time. And it would put less stress on the engine trying to
accelerate.
