Aaron,

Tell them to change their name first. Instead of Kurnia, tell them it's
Tiu-Nia-Seng Insurance. Big Smile

sorry to hear about the problem with kurnia. i was expecting that kind
of treatment from them.

have tried to avoid them since 1993 after my first car with them.

if you can, do write to the star, consumer affairs, bank negara and the
insurance association. points to note - MISLEADING ADVERTISING.

was there an end to the story?

regards.

aaron lim,

sorry to hear about your nightmares, but what do they mean by your NCB is
lost temporary? What are your NCB % deduction at this time? What I
undestand is when we make a claim from our own insurance, the NCB is
forfeited provided the other party is at fault. Fellas, Correct me if I m
wrong ......

Sorry to hear about that. It is really "heart pain".

I was almost choose Kurnia when I bought my optra, of course is after
seeing the adv, but luckily it is not recommended by sales person.
Thanks for sharing your experience.

Never bought Kurnia before, my insurance now is AM Assurance but will
revert to ING next year. Because my friend is doing ING and its easier to
deal with a person face to face if anything happens rather than buying
from dont know WHO and WHO to ask for help. If your not buying from
someone you know , you have to call their general lines and get bump from
one extention to the other and worse put on hold.

Buy from a person you know , you get help/info quicker this is the
advantage.

Guys,

I used AIG insurance. But I don’t know either good or not since so far
nothing happen. Really hope nothing will happen forever. Anyway, I am not
worry at all since my agent which my whole family used him for car
insurance stuff for almost 11 years really good. He will study which
insurance is good and always remind us what should do if anything happen.
In fact, every time when renewed my insurance, first he will suggest which
one should cover and which one are not necessary to cover. He doesn’t
what me to pay for nothing and always trying to give me the best coverage.
And also if he think others product (insurance) better, he will advice
accordingly. At one time, when I get one minor accident, he did advice me
either wanted to proceed the claim or not and he will do everything and
push it faster. But when I think about my NCB and since small accident and
that time I just got bonus so.. forget it laa …. Lastly, very good stuff
is, every time the car road tax and insurance going to expired. He will
remind us 2 months earlier and then when the time to renew he will do
everything and deliver the insurance and road tax straight to me. Frankly,
every things he will do laa. From the first I planed to buy new car up to
sell old car and so on.. so on … I don’t care. I am only know how to
collect my new car, prepare the money and keep watching TV in peace.

The bad thing is…if I don’t have enough money to pay that time…. I cannot
escape… so sangat malu looooo.

hi all!,

wow! lots of Kurnia bashers here, huh? actually, this is not surprising.
even when i saw the TV add., my 1st impression was "too good to be true!!"

anyway, i've heard plenty of feedback that not only Kurnia, but other
local insurance companies r also really crappy & slow when processing
claims - tunggu sampai tua Dead

somehow, the foreign insurance companies r much more efficient. guess they
don't want any back logs.

i insured my previous car with AHA. when it was stolen last july, it only
took them slightly under 4 months to settle everything & give me the $$$.
also, their appointed lost adjuster was very fair during the interview, &
did not treat me like a convict! in fact, it cud hav been settled faster.
this is cuz i only chased the police for the investigation report after 3
months of waiting. according to the investigating sargent, i shud hav
chased him after 1 month!! when i went to his office to collect the
letter, he said "tak payah tunggu lama lama!! 1 bulan dah cukup!!" BANYAK
CANTIK!!! anyway, the way this insurance co. handled my case made the
irritation more bearable! Big Smile

Aoron ,

Sorry to hear about your car accident. I saw your car ( after the
accident ) last week around Volcar PJ. From a distance , the damage is
quite minor, and i thought it must be a minor accident .

But after seeing the proton wira damage picture in the Yahoo group ,
Optra is well bult and rock solid. Glad to know and proven that Chevy is
Quatlity Car.

About insurence claim , the process is always very painful even though it
is not your fault. Lebih lebih lagi it is a Kurnia. Change to AHA if you
can , they are the best ! Both my cars are insured under AHA !
