i had my car banged at the drivers side 2 years back (was driving at satria
at that time). the guy who banged me didn't have enough cash to settle so
he said to make a claim from his insurance. lucky i had AAM. they called up
the service centre and this guys did all the running and caliming of the
insurance. the other guys insurance company MAA didn't want to pay the
repair cost of RM3000 but only RM1300. made noise to AAM. AAM told the
insurance company that they will write to bank negara to complain. finaly
they agreed to pay RM1800. took the money even though losing out a bit.
maybe you should also threaten them telling you will complain to Bank
Negara. hope this helps. ( i didn't loose my NCB as i claimed from the
other insurance company).

Thanks for all your support.
It is not what all we want. Not me, not even the other driver who bang
me too. Anyway, it is accident. Now, my car is in for repair.
It is the inconviniences that is painful. What kurnia express is? it is
a claim which you claim your own insurance, then later, get the police
findings, and submit to them. So that it is classified as Third Party
claim. Then only I can get back my NCD. So tiring.

Sorry to hear about your car. Was at my dealer's shop today (signing docs
before Nabira is sent for inspection...collecting car prob Thurs) and saw
some poor sod who was glum-ly seated waiting for the SA to help him with
his predicament. After probing further, this poor chap said he was
involved in a four car pile up with his Black Nabira smashed from the back
by a lorry; and him being the first car his front was not affected at all
but the rear was a sorry sight...damaged lights, bumper and the rear door
was misaligned and could not be closed...and he said as soon as they all
stopped to check their respective cars the lorry sped off!...dont think
any of them got the number plate as well!! Was with a friend a few years
back when his vehicle got rammed into by a lorry and the lorry driver
scooted from the scene of the crime and when we reported the incident, we
found that the license plate was registered to a motorbike! So my friend
had to take the hit for an accident where he was totally a bystander...
Hope you get your car back as good as new!
Gooner
(note : dunno what it is with new cars but they seem to attract accidents!
Old cars are never involved!!)

AVOID at all costs are Kurnia and Pan Global. Had experiences with both.
Now all the cars in my household are on AHAC. Made a few claims with them
too. After the initial police report, they will step in and handle
everything else. No need to fill another form with details of the accident.
My brother is on AMI and so problems there too.

Last accident I had, was on my BMW. My insurance company was Mayban
Assurance. Very good service. After all the reports, I went to the branch
and asked where can I go for repair. I was advised to go direct to BMW SC.
I pun buat baik lah. Tak mahal ke? The person said, why worry, you paid the
insurance, it's your right! I got the letter from them. Brought to BMW SC.
Got it repaired. Took the car home. No pening kepala!
Using them ever since. But for this 1st year for my Nabira have to use
UniAsia. Will change back to them nanti.
Cheers!
