Smart have sold nearly 250,000 cars in the last two years. If you want to
look at an example of a "dumb" car look closer to home. The Gen2 has been
a complete disaster.

How many Gen2's have been sold? Less than 20,000 by all accounts and
that's if you believe the government's figures. At that rate by the time
its developmenmt and production costs have been covered it'll be older
than the Iswara is now. Instead of Gen2 it should be called the Proton
Dumb.

The Smart deserves it's name for a number of reasons including the basic
concept which has proved to be a winner.

hell yeah! was kinda nice to see the SMART finally make it to Malaysia but
the price tag is ridiculous! Of course Daimler people did their research
and YES I do think Malaysians will buy them....but only because they are to
ingnorant and simply wanna be different.....especially those overly rich
people whose wives wanna show of their new toy to their friends at the golf
club!

Damn, I can buy another VIOS.....fully modify it and still have cash to
spare!

well smart caters for niche market, in malaysia...not in europe thou...coz
for malaysian, given a car like smart....they will still think that it's
overpriced even it is selling at 50k...
