Like thousands of persona owners i am happy with my Persona except
the low-end torque is at least 20% below adequte for a car of its weight.
So my service centre suggested VOLTPOWER - a bolt-on that does not
invalidate the warantee - so he claims. But I checked with somebody in
the auto industry back in Europe (where i am from) who said "dont touch
them - waste of money and often problematic". He told me that in Europe
there are plenty of replacement ECU-chips and re-programing of existing
ECU-chips and this can work well.
Does anybody have any real-world experience of ECU chip
replacement/modification for Personas?

Is your car fitted with IAFM intake manifold?
The recent produced car is fitted with it and it can overcome the low
torque and low and middle rpm!

Keep checking if any IAFM add-on package can be made available for the
Persona CamTakPro cars.

IAFM works. Tested one with 17" wheels and it was surprisingly still
responsive.

idling at 8500 rpm? Are you sure?

If you mean 850 rpm, then what's the point of increasing the idling
speed? IT's merely to keep the engine running smoothly at the lowest
possible rpm.

Increasing the idling doesn't help in improving engine torque. It only
increase the wear & tare and fuel consumption.

Sad to say, I've checked with my SC and double confirm with Proton I-
Care, there will be no offer from Proton to install IAFM on the CAMPRO
without IAFM.

Proton dun offer the IAFM add-on mod...but i think after-market can add
on the mod easily. Afterall, not much different between CamTakPro vs
IAFM...add the IAFM and reprogram with ECU of IAFM, should be thats all.

Any mod expert can giv opinion here??

I just bought persona with IAFM manunal transmission. I think IAFM suitable
for AT only, coz rpm seem to jump up when you engaged the clutch even
without pressing the accelerator.
