ngsh,

So... you're paying 60K to get fancy bulletproof seats, an aftermarket
exhaust, stiffer dampers and an extra... what? 20hp? Tongue

And more reasons not to buy a Scooby? what? Tongue

At 240K, in Malaysia anyway, I feel all Subarus and LanEvos to be good
buys irregardless of the model because even the minimum trim model is
already provides impressive performance. Just put your foot down for big
smiles. Put your foot down in corners for big laughter.

I just wished that we didnt have to pay that huge premium.

currently im very interested in the ver 8 Sti... cant afford the 9... best
is leave them stock standard. if really wanna mod just add bolt ons. should
be fun enough for daily drive... theres so many types out there, pro-drive
la, spec-C la, so confusing ler... i heard the drive is somewhat more
involving compared to the evos. had the 6 and driven the 9 before, just
curious how the scooby drives... but im still happy with my teg for now Wink

Hi Abuga,

No chance to test any subarus, my perceptions are all based on reviews on
internet.

Buying any car in Malaysia is always a premium. So either we contribute
to the cronies or take a bus... Cool

HIDcivic,

Scoobies are more involving than LanEvo because less computers driving
the car for you.

Prodrive is a UK tuning house - like Spoon or Toda for Honda, Technopro
for Toyota. Note that there is a difference - STI is Subaru's in-house
performance development group, TRD-Toyota, Mugen-Honda, Nismo-Nissan,
Mazdaspeed-Mazda. So Prodrive, Spoon and Technopro are third party
vendors.

Spec C is a JDM "special variant" similar to S202, S203, S204. There are
other variants that are USDM or UKDM.

guys, was curious on every1 having a go at subaru so i thought i would
put my 2 cents in......

I was driving an S203 3 1/2 years ago when there were only a handfull in
Malaysia.

Let me tell you my story:

1. trashed the heck out of my car like a scooby should b driven.....raced
it rallyed it (even if its n STI scooby is not as durable as the Evo i
must sadly admit... n i had conrod clankin, longshaft bush gone, drive
shaft leaks, n a blown turbo.

2. every dick on the road would want to come n give you a run for money
even gays in kancils with fake bonnet scoops

3. however in the GAYA deprtment you are king......except when i went to
Zouke and a hot babe asked me "how much i spent to modify my PUTRA"....

4. If you a willing to push the car and already understand the basics of
car control well its a very rewarding car to chuck around but it demands
pure concentration n a feel for the road so dont wack a scooby on road u
dont know!

5. if mileage is n issue dont buy a performance car.......on average my
scooby did 360Km to a full tank and tat is if i dont put my foot to sleep
on the gas

Currently i drive a GT4 n heheh do miss my scooby!!!!

Hi Host...

Hahahaha... interesting story.. kinda reminds me of my ex-EVO, every tom,
dick and harry wanted to race with me...

I'd be lucky to see 300km mileage even if drive moderately..

I pressume GT4 is Caldina?

Hi Host,

Forgot to ask you, when you said your full tank range is 360km, what is
your full tank capacity in litre?

Thanks. Smile

No reply from Host.

I guess it's 55 litre tank.

Thanks.
