Dear rcrossz7,
hahahahahaha! Your information is totally un-useable to me but it's funny
Dear Abuga,
Thanks for your info. I live in Malaysia... a sudden craze in subaru
lately, and many units sold... grey dealers are not willing to cut price..
it's been a while since I last owned a turbo car... seriously thinking
about it.
Difference in regular ver9 and S204 is rm50k-rm60k, so that's why I asked
if worth the asking price.. but then again i think it is coz many of the
units sold!
Thanks!

ngsh,
S204 is a special limited edition. Hence the "special" price.
Its more painful once you add Malaysian exchange rate, Malaysian import
duty and Malaysian dealer's cut.
It would be quite amazing if you managed to find a real S204 because I
think maybe only 1000 units built - not sure.
Whats the difference between a "regular" WRX STi and an S204? More
horsepower, some bodykit and more Subaru Tecnica International parts...
Why they decided to make a variant of the Subaru? So they can charge you
more lah, what else.
BTW, except for bodykit differences - which you would have to be a subaru
enthusiast to identify, I dont know how you can identify an S-series
Subaru. I dont even know if its reflected in the VIN number - which you
can then open the hood and check it out. Hopefully someone here will be
able to help you identify genuine S-series.

They claimed engine handbuilt, all engine parts ported, polished and
balanced. So for a turbo car, it could rev up to 8,000rpm, to me, that's
a masterpiece.
Then again, the question is, why didn't they do this to their 'regular'
version 9? Maybe you call this a marketing ploy.
Japanese cars are meant to be used everyday, so same thing applies to
their rally bred 'supercars'.. but if fuel consumption is high, it might
not be so 'everyday' afterall...

Guess all the Subaru owners out there are enjoying themselves too much to
bother with contributions to this thread

ngsh,
I dont know if there are any subaru owners here. Less so S204 owners.
Generally speaking, most of the Subaru owners I`ve met are more the kind
who buy the car for the image, not so much the driving pleasure itself.

I'm an ex-Impreza STi5 owner and current Legacy GT owner......
No owners here cause we have our own place
I love the Subaru and well worth the ownership. If you live around
PJ/Subang then there really are some very good workshops. If you are
buying a relatively new model, so the V9 or S204 then costs are no worse
than "normal" cars until you start getting the urge to make the car sound
better, stop better, accelarate better then the modding can be pricing
For everyday driving, i would go for a standard STi instead of the S204.
For me, personally, the difference is not worth the premium..... on
everyday driving.

Hi Scooby5,
I was told by salesman that STI ver 9 is everywhere, every tom dick and
harry has it but S204 is limited edition thus will hold value better when
comes to depreciation.. agree?
For rm50k-60k more, you get kevlar seats, titanium exhaust, handmade
engine, yamaha damper, 320bhp etc... not worth it?
A performance parts shop owner told me unlike Mit Evo's 4G63, there
aren't many so called 'qualified tuners' in malaysia for Subaru. So if
you buy a regular STI ver 9 and tune it up, you won't know when your car
might just 'blow up'
What you say?
