excellent explanation abuga! dont think i could put it as clearly as you.

on the 2ZZ video running on which gearing, i dont know but i`m likely to find it later. there is a
chart done by the chaps at SC.

yes, the 2ZZ WILL lose big time to the turbos (or even a turbo`ed MRS) , it hard to explain why
those chaps (who swap 2ZZ) likes it. We soon find out locally too. Big Smile

australians has been given a short end of the spyders fare as only SMT MRS is sold downunder. i
now know of 2 who swapped to 2ZZ manual in australia. one is a local chap from msia who is in
aust. the other is local aussie.

sorry to digress on this thread.Big SmileBig Smile

of all the criteria coolznick has put forward, i still think the 350Z may be of his ideal sports
vehicle, then folowed by the silvia & RX8.

the best lot for drivers enthusiast (of the 4 car coolznick put fwd) would be the DC5. it loses to
S15, RX8 & the 350Z for sexyness.

A one-up for the Caldina: the AWD version outran my stock FC to 90kph by
about half car length from a traffic light.

I should be more neutral in commenting about these cars. Caldina should
not be compared to sportscars because if you try to push the Caldina to
the same limit as an Evo, you`re going to be in trouble.

However, as a daily drive come touring car, it is very satisfying.

I was going to suggest the Mark X though. But sportscar wise, the 350Z
is probably the better car.

Other considerations now concern the price, car size, and amount of
attention you want to give to the car.

Handling is quite important for me too, i like to play cornering rather
than straight road but i want comfort n sexyness too. My budget? Not more
than RM200K mayb.

Can RM200K buy a Z?

Actually, I would recommend Nissan GTT but not sure if you find it looks
cool enough or look down on it as a watered down GTR.

Reason:
1. Solid iron block engine - more durable than aluminium
2. Pistons - any mechanic oso can, suggest Links in Sunway tho
3. Mods easy to find - engine, cabin, bodykits, etc.
4. RWD means good cornering and the rear is very stable
5. 280HP outruns most opposition, can increase to 350+ easily
6. RB25DET NEO engine is quiet fuel efficient for its class
7. heavy weight, good suspension means good comfort (generally)
8. Get 4 door version and enjoy putting more people in potential danger
with crazy driving skills.

When I say its fuel efficient, its still quite thirsty. Especially if
you are lead footed.

Basically, you are looking at a relatively low maintenance and solid
car. The RB series of engines are so durable, the vast majority of
unmodded blocks have exceeded 100,000 MILES without overhaul.

I dont know how good is the handling but given its weight and the sheer
size of the footprint, it should hang on in most corners with little
trouble. Might have understeer though.

And the 4 door version can function as a family mover if ever your
parents force you to chaffuer.

hi bro Coolznick, my 10 years old brick definately doesn;t look sexy
compare to the roaster and japanese sport car..but it looks "ganas" and
with stock..I think I can easily give most of the japanese sport car a
good fight..it is with the weight of 2 tons bro.....so i guess you should
know what i'm using now ya...otherwise you may recalled back the BTCC
race in 1994..heehee..most of the time, the Japnese Sport car fanatic
will be shock when seeing this damn old boxy car following closely at
their back..heehee..

Coolznick,

you should try ken`s car to see if you like it.

Here`s some vids to help make you more interested.

RX8 Type-S vs Civic 4 door EK3 (or 5) drag.

want to go fast? No need turbo, no need NOS! Just drink BEER! haha.

Can you guess where this took place? Wonder who these fellas are. This
vid shows the acceleration weakness of the 8.

If it was a DC5 on the line up, the 8 would have trouble. If it was a
Silvia or Z, that`s it, baibai.

S2K - ITR - RX8

important to note that the S2K driver shows he is more comfortable with
the track than the other 2 fellas - he`s more familiar with braking and
acceleration points.

Note: DONT DRIVE WITH YOUR HANDPHONE. This guy must be some sort of pro
or something and he`s on a track.

poor 8, just too heavy to keep up with the aneroxic civic hatchback...
wonder what mods in that civic

Twin Garrett GT turbo Z vs Evo 8
http://youtube.com/watch?v=iWRnDF9O0Rk

this shows the power tuning potential of the Z.

Audi TT vs Nissan Z
