Actually tried the karak-bentung-raub-klipis-ch route.
The drive was smooth, but most part of it is not so scenic. Could be
because the route takes us through the center/banjaran of Pen.Msia.
But once nearing CH, the roads smoothen further and it was all bliss
afterwards.

you all should try CH-GM route, it's great. Last raya me & friends (4 cars)
convoy using that road from KL-Simpang Pulai-CH-GM, breathtaking scenery
and driving experiences. Road also in great condition even with single
lane. (2 lanes at some point)

You'll never regret it.

yes... no problem.
last raya i took that road. only 10metre of that road is yet to be paved.
other than that the road is in a very good condition. But, let's just hope
no timber laden merc 911 had inflict any damage to it yet!!!

I just tested the route from GM to jeli last 2 week, its better than
before even its take only around 45 minutes traveling time, everare 110km
perhour..no harm to try better than grik to Jeli
