One owner is selling his 06/08 at RM100k mileage 3k km.
I think fair price should be around 90k.
What you guys think?

with the higher interest rate for used car compare to new car. the
installment for new car is just sligthy higher about RM100 hundred i
guess.

in the end is just better off to buy new unit and now that ford is
selling the 07 at 10k discount.

DC18,

I am a car enthusiast.

I think new 2006 Focus 2.0 can be yours for about RM105k now. Haggle more.
You should enjoy lower % rates from financier too. Don't forget to ask for
free services.

If you purchase used Focus, you'll get higher % rates for your loan. Thus,
the price should be cheaper... I think may be around RM85k not including
insurance?

wow shy 78,

you are much better negotiator than me ha. Don't think the seller will go
for 85k.

His unit does come with 3 years free service..........i think i will go
for 95k max.

Used Focus is hard to come by moreover a gd low mileage wan.

I think RM85k is a fair value for both. But I have failed few negotiations
in getting a used car before.

May I suggest that you check with financier how much do they value the car.
I think it'll be more appropriate. They should have some figure because
they need to in order to ascertain the amount of financing based on the
margin of financing.

Then, ask about the % rates and monthly instalment amount. Don't forget to
compare the repayment with a new Focus (2006 stocks).

I think for a new Focus, you may get around 2.5%. For the used Focus, it'll
be around 3.5%.

i guess so, 85k - 90k is fair. Bank are giving 102k loan. interest about
4%.

Dealer sells at below 90k but the dealer did say this case is unique as
is 06/08 and basically a new car. In terms of profit they will only buy
at less than 80k if is a 06 registered and make as mileage and car
condition is higher.

So dealer also canot give much comment willing buyer willing seller.

you still looking for car?

i guess i paying premuim for a low mileage car

RM105k over 6 years at 4% is RM1,808.33 per month. (USED CAR)

RM95k over 6 years at 4% is RM1,636.11 per month. (USED CAR)

RM105k over 6 years at 2.5% (or may be lower?) is RM1,677.08 per month.
(NEW CAR, 2006 MADE)

Yes, you are paying a premium for a used low mileage car.

I already got mine. Settled for a re-conditioned Toyota Ipsum (2003).

Yes 2.4 engine, the same engine used by Harrier, Estima, Alphard, Camry.

Maintenance I think is cheaper than Focus 2.0. It uses timing chain. Fuel
consumption is cheaper than Naza Ria (2.5).
