Formula 4 SEA This Weekend At Sepang

Malaysia may not be hosting another F1 race in the near future (the last one will be held this weekend – 29 Sept – 1 Oct), but the Sepang International Circuit is still host to a number of races, including single-seater races like F4 which will be a supporting race to the Sepang Grand Prix.

Formula 4 SEA - Event 4 - Race 3F4 or Formula 4 is the brainchild of current FIA President, Jean Todt, and his team at the single-seater commission. F4 is a way for rookies to earn Super License points and continue their racing career into F1 (via F4, F3 and then F2). A driver needs 45 Super License points to qualify as an F1 driver candidate. Lance Stroll, the first F4 champion, collected more than the required license points from F4 and F3 to become the youngest-ever F1 driver; he drives for Williams F1.
