SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT – Honda Recall

We can’t stress the importance of this enough and we hope you will take heed if you own a Honda and share this message with the Honda owners you know.

In its latest notification, Honda Malaysia is recalling 147,894 Honda vehicles to replace the front passenger airbag inflator, as part of its proactive measure to ensure customer safety.

All affected owners will be informed via notification letter which will include details of the recall. Upon receipt of the letter, you are advised to bring the letter and your vehicle to the nearest authorized Honda dealer for inspection.

Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd urges all owners of Honda vehicles affected by this airbag inflator recall to get your vehicles checked and parts replaced at any authorized Honda dealers as soon as possible upon receipt of the notification letter.

The replacement will be carried out once the parts are ready; parts and labor charges related to this recall will be borne by Honda Malaysia, so you’re really not saving money by not bringing your vehicle in. If anything, you could lose your life if you don’t get the inflator replaced.

Honda Malaysia reiterates that all of its current selling models are not affected and will continue to uphold transparency and stringent control to ensure customer safety.
