Scania Malaysia launches new construction trucks and first-class coaches

    by -

Scania Malaysia has expanded its range of heavy commercial vehicle offerings with the launch of new lines of fully-built up first-class coaches (long distance buses) and construction trucks during the recently concluded Malaysia International Bus, Truck, and Components Expo 2015 (MIBTC) held at the MINES Convention Centre.

These new offerings enable Scania to offer long distance express bus operators and construction companies a more complete range of transport solutions with the option of now sourcing and maintaining the vehicle’s chassis, body, and other accessories from the same source.

For bus operators, Scania has engaged the partnership of Brazilian coach-builder Marcopolo to produce premium luxury coaches to be attached to the Scania-built chassis package. Through this offering, bus operators can now order, service and maintain a coach with fully built-up interior and exterior fitments from one company, consequently shortening down time and maximizing profitability.

Construction companies, meanwhile, are offered with Scania’s new range of Construction Trucks that are underpinned by a tougher high-load chassis and powered by a range of engines rated from Euro 3 right up to Euro 6 standards. The trucks are designed to be flexibly customizable to suit a variety of conditions.

Both the Scania Construction Trucks and Scania Marcopolo complete coach come with 2-years free Scania Maintenance, 2-years free Scania Assistance and 10-years free Scania Fleet Management. Scania Credit Malaysia is also available to provide financial solutions and insurance for truck and bus/coach operators.

At the MIBTC event, Scania also gave visitors (of all driving licenses) the rare experience of handling a truck themselves in a miniature version of the Scania Driver Competition in which participants are required to maneuver a Scania heavy truck in a tight confine of space
