Announcing the winner: Design Autoworld’s 10th Anniversary Logo contest
It was late August when we announced the ‘Design Autoworld’s 10th Anniversary Logo’ contest. We offered a grand prize of RM1,000, and gave you guys a month to come back to us with your best efforts.
We got our first entry after only two hours of posting the announcement, and it wasn’t a shabbily designed one, mind you. In fact, we felt nylonbody’s entry stood a very good chance of winning when time for the final reckoning comes. We were then anticipating a flood of entries.
It came alright. All during the last one week before the closing date of 26 Sept 2009. It would seem that you guys were taking your time to put in your best efforts. After we received the second entry, which came almost three weeks into the contest period, the entries just poured in.
Besides our own members, students from various universities and colleges were also invited to use this contest as a means to express and showcase their creativity. Special thanks and appreciation are reserved for SEGi University College for the enthusiasm and overwhelming response of their staff and students in supporting this contest.
The logos we received have exceed our expectations tremendously, which made our jobs of eliminating entries a particularly difficult one. We narrowed down our choices to six, and after help from voting forummers, we selected the entry of Finalist No. 3 (Autoworld UserID: beni) as our commemorative 10th Anniversary logo.
Besides adorning our website, beni’s design will see the light of day in specially printed T-shirts, stickers, and even our name cards. As promised, beni will be walking away with our grand cash prize of RM1,000. So, beni, make yourself free for the prize giving on 8 Nov 2009!
