Sands China Ltd orders five RR Phantom IIs
Company fleet purchases are a common occurrence in the industry, but when a company buys a fleet of Rolls-Royce vehicles, it is worth some shouting about. Sands China Ltd recently made history by confirming the single biggest order of the Phantom Series II from the Asia Pacific region.
Sands China’s fleet of five extended wheelbase Phantom IIs will be delivered in the first quarter of 2013, joining the company’s existing Phantom Series I car. The company has further retained an option with Rolls-Royce to facilitate future expansion of its fleet.
Samuel Sun, General Manager, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Macau, added, “We are thrilled to announce the order of five Phantom Series II Extended Wheelbase cars to Sands China Ltd. We are optimistic that this is the first of more corporate orders to come and remained committed to offering all our customers peerless motor cars with unrivalled service experience.”
As with almost every Rolls-Royce delivered around the world, the five units ordered by Sands China will be customized to reflect the company’s corporate identity. The cars’ exteriors will be finished in Paiza Brown, one of the company’s unique corporate colours, and the interior will have partition walls.
“Rolls-Royce is the ultimate symbol of luxury, prestige and comfort, and we are delighted to expand our current fleet especially dedicated to our valuable customers across all our properties,” said David Sisk, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Sands China Ltd.
“Rolls-Royce fits perfectly with Sands China’s exceptionally high standard of service and will continue to allow us to pamper our valuable customers by introducing a more personalised and unique experience when they visit our properties,” Sisk added.
Introduced in 2003, the Phantom received its Series II update in 2012 adding enhancements such as LED Headlights, improved on-board connectivity, a new 8-speed transmission, and improvements to its V12 engine that has helped reduce fuel consumption by 10% and slash CO2 emissions from 388 to 347 g/km.
