Honda WR-V Delivered To First Customer
Honda Malaysia recently delivered the new WR-V to the first customer who made a booking for this small SUV. In early August, Honda handed over the vehicle to Ms. Nurain Binti Mohamad at authorised dealer, Accord Auto Sdn Bhd. As a gesture of appreciation, Ms. Nurain was presented with Honda accessories, Ultra Glass body coating and official merchandise worth RM5,000 in total.
“When Honda Malaysia announced that they were launching the all-new WR-V, I did some research on the car and was immediately impressed by its design and features. The model has a young and energetic profile, showcased by its stylish and striking appearance that reflects my personality. I like that the all-new WR-V has a compact design on the outside but still has ample room on the inside. The Honda WR-V exterior features a mesh-style grille with silver chrome and silver painted lower garnish. The RS front design also features auto LED headlights and LED sequential turn signals. Physically, the WR-V has a high ground clearance of 207 mm which allows it to handle various road conditions with ease. It also has a 380-litre trunk paired with a 60:40 folding rear seat for practicality.
The Honda WR-V is powered by a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine which generates an output of 121 PS and 145 Nm. In addition to being fuel efficient, this small SUV offers smooth acceleration, making it suitable for city roads and highways. To ensure peace of mind for the driver and passengers, the WR-V is fitted with a a range of advanced safety features such as Honda LaneWatch, which is a standard feature for all variants, and Honda SENSING* with 8 advanced functions.
The RS variant is also equipped with Honda CONNECT which allows owners to connect to their car from anywhere at any time via a smartphone. This helps provide a further sense of safety, security and convenience for owners. It also enhances the safety and security with useful functions including Automatic Collision Detection, Security Alarm Detection, Speed Alert, Find My Car, Geo-fencing Alert and Emergency Call. In addition, customers can remotely start the engine, lock and unlock its doors as well as adjust the air-conditioning from the mobile application.

Since its launch, the model has been well accepted in the market and achieved remarkable sales performance. The RS variant is the largest contributor, accounting for 60% of the total sales to-date. We are also delighted to share that the all-new WR-V is the second best-selling model in our Honda line-up for the month of July 2023.” The company revealed that it had delivered 2,200 units of the WR-V within one month of its official launch.
